Welcome to Tropic

Tropic, nestled in the valley of the red cliffs of Bryce Canyon National Park, a community, whose name reflects the beautiful fruit blossoms in the spring, green grass of summer, and the brilliant colors of fall. In Winter…. A blanket of snow covers the community, quietly giving rest.

The climate is relatively mild, with the last frost usually occurring in the latter part of April and begins freezing in Mid-October.

Tropic is located in Garfield County on Utah's All American Road * Scenic Byway 12; just off Utah Heritage Highway 89 south of Panguitch and travels eastward. From its humble beginnings in 1892 with approximately 15 families, Tropic has prospered to a thriving community of over 550 residents.
